Position : Marketing – Communications & Social Media Manager

Job Description : The Communications and Social Media Manager shapes and informs the public perception of relevant FCH Enterprises entities through both earned media and social media channels. The individual in the Communications and Social Media Manager is also a key member of the larger integrated marketing communications team and is expected to lead various marketing campaigns, in addition to performing traditional public relations and community management responsibilities.

COMMUNICATION & SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION
Essential Functions
The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
Designs earned media and social media strategies and processes to meet corporate objectives within budget requirements
Determines objectives and success metrics for relevant tactics and assigned campaigns, and monitors progress towards goals
Manages all media relations, influencer relations, and community affairs activities to achieve marketing goals and business objectives
Manages all social media activity including social media marketing, social customer care, and social crisis management
In partnership with various other departments, designs and manages internal communications vehicles
Creates, curates, or procures content for distribution in any media format (photos, video, audio, graphics, etc.)
Acts as a corporate spokesperson when other corporate spokespersons are not available
In partnership with Director, Digital Strategies, will ensure paid social strategies are integrated into larger e-commerce initiatives, as well as assist with earned media placement in select digital channels
Collaborate with internal teams to deploy integrated marketing campaigns and to ensure brand consistency
Provides analysis of earned media and social media performance, reports on various initiatives and resolves issues as need
Manages a small team to affect positive business outcomes

QUALIFICATIONS:
General
A minimum of four (4) years’ work experience in any public relations, internal communications, journalism, or social media management function for a large organization or set of clients is required
Four-year college degree in business, technology, communications or related field; however, a minimum of five (5) years of working experience, as defined below, can be substituted for educational requirements.
Availability to work Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with occasional work outside normal hours as needed
This position is eligible for remote work

Experience writing press releases, distributing press releases, and pitching stories

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card
Candidates for employment with the company will be required to show proof of at least one vaccination dose and will be required to complete their initial shots within 28 days of employment. If they are eligible for a booster and haven’t yet taken it, they must do so within 35 days of employment. They will be required to submit to weekly testing until full vaccination status per company definition is achieved
Tuberculosis (TB) Clearance
Issued clearance with 12 months before start date OR at age 16 years or older (no further testing is required)
Issued Risk Assessment
If tested positive or has prior history of testing positive than chest x-ray or symptom screen for clearance is acceptable
Completing a drug test and yielding favorable results
