What you will be doing:
This position will be responsible for maintaining a workload of licensed child care facilities, including conducting on-site inspections and investigations to determine compliance with State of Alaska Child Care Licensing Statutes, Regulations, and Policies and Procedures. The incumbent will apply knowledge of Child Care Licensing requirements during monitoring and be able to convey requirements to providers, partner agency members, and the general public. The incumbent will be responsible for generating and issuing Reports of Inspection, Reports of Investigation, Notices of Violation, Enforcement Actions, and ensure the child care facility is in full compliance before the issuance of a Child Care License.

The Community Care Licensing Specialist I position will be located in one of the Child Care Program Offices in Anchorage, Fairbanks, or Juneau. This position includes office and field work, including travel within the state.
