Job Overview

The Junior Corporate and Community Development specialist will help to activate community partnerships in Southern Colorado. This will include seeking out potential new partners, ensuring all deliverables of contracts are achieved, participating in onsite activations and tracking and measuring partnerships. These disciplines will incorporate various skills including relationship building, creation of presentations, event planning, marketing, business administration and more. Corporate and Community Development Specialists are responsible for establishing positive associations with all of Children’s Hospital Colorado (CHCO) audiences, which may include internal stakeholders, patients and families, media, community, referring physicians, payers, partners, healthcare industry and the public at large. The Specialist takes assignments and creative direction from the Executive Director as well as Senior Specialists. .

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Role and Responsibilities
Maintain relationships with community partner organizations, vendors, patient families, and internal team members
Fulfill contracts with existing community partners in the Southern Colorado region
Research potential new community partner organizations
Plan and execute internal and external events in the southern Colorado region and across the CHCO system of care.
Drive innovation by pitching new and unique partnership ideas to community partners
Partner with the Association of Volunteers and communicate with CHCO staff about volunteer opportunities with community partner organizations
Participate in on-site booth activation opportunities for CHCO with community partner organizations
Work closely with various teams within marketing & communications on creative deliverables and assets for community partnerships
Collaborate with CHCO providers to develop live educational talks for the community
Work closely with the child life team to execute memorable opportunities for patient families
Manage event budgets
Create event flyers and write event recaps
Provide CHCO health and wellness content and educational resources to community partner organizations, parents, and families
Process invoices monthly

Qualifications

EDUCATION – Bachelor’s degree in copywriting, journalism, marketing, public relations, communications, English or a related field.
EXPERIENCE – One year of experience relevant to the assigned discipline, in an agency, studio, or corporate environment.
EQUIVALENCY – Professional experience, beyond requirements, in a related field may substitute for a Bachelor degree requirement on a year for year basis.

Salary Information
Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $54,695.88 to $82,043.82
Hourly Salary Range: $26.30 to $39.44
