Job Description : A large hotelier in beautiful Panama City Beach, Florida is seeking a General Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of multiple properties. The ideal candidate will be able to manage multiple properties and have previous branded hotel experience, as well as experience operating Opera.Job DescriptionProvide day to day leadership and direction by maximizing financial returns, driving development of people, creating and maintaining a unique guest experience, executing on brand standards and building awareness of hotel and brand in the local community. Responsible areas include sales, front desk, housekeeping and laundry, maintenance and breakfast.Responsibilities: Financial Returns:Prepare annual capital, cash flow and sales and marketing plans to accurately forecast budgets and achieve required operating results.Analyze financials to drive revenues, future profitability, and maximum return on investment. Use all distribution channels and technology platforms to increase revenue and market share.Lead capital plans and asset management initiatives, including working with ownership to maintain or improve property’s market leadership position.People:Serve as a role model and set a positive example to demonstrate appropriate brand service behaviors.Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.Coach, counsel and develop team members for succession planning. Establish and communicate performance expectations, standards, and policies to team members.Motivate, mentor, and coach to continually keep efficiency, safe operations, and to maintain an atmosphere of hospitality for the guests.Supervise Front Desk Manager, Sales Manager, Executive Housekeeper, Breakfast Leader and Chief Engineer to meet the highest standards and attention to detail.Oversee any salary, disciplinary or staffing/human resources related actions in accordance with Director of Human Resources and company policies.Guest Experience:Provide guest with the best in service, courtesy and care.Handle complaints, settle disputes, and resolve grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiate with guests. Make time to interact with guests, solicit feedback and build relationships.Drive improvement in guest satisfaction goals.Collaborate with colleagues and hotel team members to establish and continually communicate a clear and consistent message regarding the hotel and brand goals to meet or exceed guest expectations.Maintain compliance with all hotel brand standards, behaviors, hallmarks and ownership objectives.Responsible Business:Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, team members and hotel assets in compliance with ownership policies and procedures and regulatory requirements. Maintain relations with outside contacts.Act as a public relations representative to raise awareness of hotel and brand in local community.
