Maximum Salary A: $89,996.84

Note: This position may for qualify for up to 1 day of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings based on position. To participate in this program, you will be required to have high speed home internet access. This program does not supersede the “New Jersey First Act”, which requires newly hired Judiciary employees to establish and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey.
Effective February 1, 2022 the New Jersey Judiciary will require all state court judges and staff to provide to Human Resources either (1) proof of vaccination against COVID-19 which includes a booster; or (2) results of weekly tests for COVID-19. This information will be maintained in a secure Judiciary application that will be accessible by a limited group of Human Resources staff.
Example of Duties
The Hudson Vicinage is seeking a dynamic, organized, and customer service oriented individual to work in its Information Technology Division. Under the general direction of the Court Executive 2B (Division Manager) and other supervisory personnel, the selected candidate will attend to and resolve customer service questions and provide technical computer information and assistance to staff, users, and customers of the Hudson Vicinage; identify and report user problems that require in-depth IT support or research; and consult with system users on automated system requirements or problems. Other duties include, but are not limited to, installing and testing systems software and/or related hardware; conducting diagnostic routines and analyzing basic information processing program, system error conditions, system hardware or system software problems; providing support in the maintenance of PC, mainframe or network hardware or software; troubleshooting office equipment hardware malfunctions; Audio/Video conference equipment setup and support for meetings and courtroom appearances; investigates system faults and provide further actions to rectify; perform routine walkthrough and remediate issues found; configuring and supporting wireless/mobile devices which include laptops, cell phones, and IPADS. Performs other related duties as required. The selected candidate(s) may be required to work a non-traditional work week, which may include weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to computer science, information technology or the area to which the applicant is applying, such as information systems, human-computer interaction, interactive media, software engineering, computer networking, and/or cybersecurity.

Substitution: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional IT technical experience or experience related to the area to which the applicant is applying on a year for year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits.

A Bachelor’s Degree in any field from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of additional paraprofessional and/or professional IT technical experience or experience related to the area to which the applicant is applying may be substituted for the required education.

An Associate’s Degree in a field related to computer science, information technology or the area to which the applicant is applying, such as information systems, human-computer interaction, interactive media, software engineering, computer networking, and/or cybersecurity and two (2) years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional IT technical experience or experience related to the area to which the applicant is applying may be substituted for a the required education.

An Associate’s Degree in any field from an accredited college or university and three years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional IT technical experience or experience related to the area to which the applicant is applying may be substituted for the required education.

A Master’s Degree in a field related to computer science, information technology or the area to which the applicant is applying, such as information systems, human-computer interaction, interactive media, software engineering, computer networking, and/or cybersecurity may be substituted for the required education.
