From formulation to finished product, we strive to offer the highest quality products and services by offering a turnkey solution to effectively meet our clients’ needs.Position Overview: This is a full-time position that is responsible for directly assisting the Vice President of Product Development and Quality.Job Title: QA/QC Associate Key Responsibilities:Knowledge of basic laboratory techniques for working at the bench; pH, viscosity, and stability studiesCompile and analyze test information as needed to report to supervisorOperation and maintenance of GC equipment.Compile, analyze and document analytical data, including chromatographic dataParticipate and resolve laboratory investigations of unexpected analytical resultsPerform routine/non-routine data analysis calculationsDocument analytical data under cGMP and corporate guidelinesPerform wet chemistry tests with minimum supervisionMaintain batch ticket paper-based databaseAssist in third-party GMP quality/regulatory audits and help facilitate periodic internal quality auditsManage FDA and manufacturing licensesManage and maintain stability program under supervisionManage retention and control of documentation record and retain samplesAssist in product recalls & mock recall programsAssist in maintaining facility sanitation and pest control programReview and approve master production records for accuracy and completenessConfer with Quality Manager as needed on procedures, processes or analytical methodsMaintain required data throughout QA/QC proceduresReview accurate real-time entries on lab notebooks to ensure accuracy and completeness and associated electronic databasesSupport cGMP laboratory initiatives following laboratory SOPsMaintain laboratory raw material database.Help facilitate incoming raw material and finished product testingPrepare samples to send out to third-party testing lab for Micro TestingMaintain product retain logbooksPerform daily calibration of laboratory equipment and maintain calibration records of the laboratory as well as production equipmentOrganizing and Maintaining cGMP’s (Current Good Manufacturing Procedures), GLP’s (Good Laboratory Procedures) paperwork for the personal care industryPerform other related duties as assignedSkills and Abilities Qualification:Attention to detail and analytical thinking, ability to apply general concepts to specific problems to produce positive results is a must.Has basic working knowledge and understanding of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of GMP OTC/Cosmetics Industry.Strong documentation and organization skills.Strong mathematical aptitude.Professional written and oral communication skills.Computer literate in Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook.Education and Training:Associates of Science or higher in Chemistry and/or a combination of vocational training, education, and experience that is equivalent to the employment standards listed above and provides the required knowledge and skills.2-4 years’ experience in a laboratory setting preferably in GMP setting for personal care, hair care, and skincare cosmetics/OTC industryPhysical Demands:While performing duties of the job, the employee is occasionally required to stand (for extended periods), stoop, bend, walk and use hands to handle objects, tools, and controls, reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Employee will be required to handle chemicals and solvents as required during the course of job execution. Employee may be required to move or lift objects up to 25 lbs.
