Manages the interdepartmental workflows, directs customer service supervisors and staff, monitors service levels for the department, tracks account value and makes proper adjustments and recommendations when appropriate.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Evaluates operations and makes recommendations regarding short and long-term plans for improving the day-to-day efficiencies and operations of the departmentMonitors the service levels of the department on a daily basisCarries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include safety, interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problemsOversees on-going projects including, but not limited to, retention, continuity, 90-day order supply, call monitoring, etc.Works closely with VPs of sales and sales representatives to insure service levels are consistently maintainedPrepares, implements, and presents the customer service-training programAnalyze and control expenditures of the department to conform to budgetary requirementsPerforms additional duties as directed.REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Four-year university degree required; Master’s Degree preferredMinimum of four years of related customer service experience; healthcare preferredThree to five years of supervisory experienceKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: Demonstrated experience and leadership in Customer ServiceAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
