CAREXST financial navigators evaluate their level of exposure to the possibility of financial toxicity which can hinder patient’s treatment. This personalized approach to providing patients with knowledge and hopefully financial savings will add a level of comfort and improved health outcomes to an otherwise challenging moment. The company is associated with a broad range of account receivable management, patient advocacy, and consultation services to assist the needs of our healthcare clients.CAREXST is seeking a Supervisor to work on behalf of our client facility(ies) in (Newark Area) New Jersey.Duties Include:Supervise Financial Navigator’s assisting cancer patients in applying for pharmaceutical assistance or charitable foundation assistanceCounsel patients in navigating through medical bills, insurance benefits, and financial resources available through pharmaceutical companies and charitable foundationsWorking with patients, physicians, nursing staff, pharmaceutical and charitable foundationsTravel to other client facilities as neededOther duties as assigned.Requirements:Train remotely and in our Allentown, PA office Monday-Friday 8:00 am-4:30 pm for approximately three weeks. Schedule will be broken up so it is not three consecutive weeks. Mileage, and hotel if needed, will be reimbursedValid driver’s license, reliable vehicle and car insuranceExperience working in healthcare facility, insurance billing, Medicaid eligibility, or social work preferredExcellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbalTrustworthy, detail and goal oriented, organizedComfortable working in a hospital environmentWorking knowledge of Microsoft applications: Outlook, Word, and ExcelApplicant must pass a criminal background check and drug screen prior to start. Physical Exam, PPD screening, and immunization records are also required. COIVD vaccine required.
