The Boeing Company has an opportunity for a Junior Software Developer (Programmer/Analyst) to join the IT Product Systems organization . We are looking for a highly motivated individual that has passion for developing and supporting complex applications and large scale systems. This position will support a number of critical BT&E Flight Test applications on the Flight Test Computing System team.
Position Responsibilities:
Provides assistance to design, program and execute test plans.
Implements, documents and maintains routine computing applications and software.
Assists in gathering and evaluating end user requirements.
Writes and compiles routine code and constructs routine database objects based on documented design.
Modifies or upgrades applications to maintain software functionality.
Documents, validates and researches reported problems and assists in developing user training.
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
2+ years of experience in Java development
Experience with Agile development or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Geospatial Science, or other technical degree.
Full-stack software development experience
Object-oriented software development experience
Any DevOps/DevSecOps and/or CI/CD experience
Working knowledge of Cloud technologies
Linux/Unix experience & scripting experience
HTML5, CSS, and/or Angular JS
Oracle databases
SOA / Restful Services
Eclipse IDE
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master +1 years’ related work experience, 7 years’ related work experience, etc.).
Relocation:
