Northrop Grumman Propulsion Systems is currently seeking an experienced Auditor / Analyst to join our Audits & Quality Systems group in Utah.
Role Description and Responsibilities:
The Sr. Auditor / Analyst supports both the internal audit team and will be doing technical editing for all Propulsion Systems principles and operating practices. As a Sr. Auditor, successful candidates will spend 80% of their time evaluating system effectiveness across Northrop Grumman products and processes. They will monitor and assist in root cause and corrective action and perform effectiveness reviews. Cross training to support other internal audit functions will be encouraged and expected. The remaining 20% of the candidate’s time will include technical editing for all Propulsion Systems principles and operating practices including: topical manuals, work instructions, handbooks, guidelines, and forms.
Responsibilities include:
Facilitate, plan, conduct, and support internal and external ISO 9001/AS9100 compliance and systems audits.
Write, review, edit, and maintain Northrop Grumman Propulsion Systems principles and operating practices – topical manuals, work instructions, handbooks, guidelines, alert notifications, and forms.
Work with document authors, process owners and leaders throughout Propulsion Systems to ensure Propulsion Systems quality management systems principles and operating practices comply with Northrop Grumman corporate, industry, aerospace and defense standards, and customer and Government contractual requirements.
Lead and support continuous improvements efforts related to Propulsion Systems principles and operating practices.
Perform gap analysis to ensure compliance to industry, aerospace, defense standards, and contractual requirements.
Has daily interface with team members, leaders, and customers throughout Propulsion Systems.
Ensure all documents are prepared in accordance with contract requirements, department standards, and guidelines.
Level of Contact:
Leaders, managers, supervisors, engineers, and team members throughout Northrop Grumman Propulsion Systems, as well as contact with external customers and government representatives.
Experience Requirements:
Minimum of (4) years’ experienceISO 9001 and AS9100 certified lead auditor is preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Excellent experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsSome technical editing experience preferredDetail-oriented
Education/Certifications:Bachelor or Master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.4-5 years manufacturing experience in aerospace, defense, or related industry.

Salary Range: $72,400 USD – $108,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
