Job Description : Job highlightsQualificationsMechanical aptitude and knowledge of basic mathematicsBasic carpentry skills and ability to use various hand and power toolsAbility to effectively communicate information verballyBasic writing skills, including proper spelling and grammarRead, understand and interpret technical specifications, drawings and blueprintsHigh school graduate or GEDPosition will be based in the designated geographical territory and requires extensive travel and off-site workWilling to work overtime when required to meet objectivesAbility to work on scaffolding and ladders or at elevated heightsValid driver’s licenseAbility to lift or move heavy objects to fulfill the responsibilities listed aboveResponsibilitiesReports Directly to: Field Testing ManagerComplete all required Level I Technician training, education and hands on experience for all types of field testing performed by NCTLAchieve Level II Field Technician status within the time period established by NCTL policiesAssist Level II and III Field Technicians in preparation for and performance of all phases of field testing including but not limited to: material ordering, pre-test preparation, chamber construction, equipment set-up and operation, data collection, job file documentation, report writing, etc for those jobs assignedCommunicate daily with management and/or NCTL clients during all phases of assigned testing programsMaintain and calibrate company equipment, vehicles and facilities as directed and in accordance with NCTL Policy and ProceduresAccurately record personal daily activities for timesheet and expense report preparationTimely and accurately complete any and all tasks assigned by the Field Testing Manager or Laboratory ManagerComplete all assigned tasks in accordance with the NCTL Quality System, the NCTL Policy Manual and NCTL ProceduresFull descriptionJob Description Department: Field TestingReports Directly to: Field Testing ManagerPosition Status: HourlyPosition Summary The Field Technician, Level I, is an entry level position that is provided training, education, and hands on experience in preparation for and completion of all phases of field testing.Responsibilities · Complete all required Level I Technician training, education and hands on experience for all types of field testing performed by NCTL.
