Pay for our Program Specialist starts at $44,000 per year.
The Program Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating programs for girls. The program specialist provides outstanding, engaging girl-led experiences. They develop community partnerships and deliver programming to girls across the state. In the summer, the position also develops camp programming and oversees the traveling day camp component of summer camp. The position works with rural community partners to coordinate logistics associated with providing traveling day camp, including housing, flights, and hiring.
You Are:

A team player and able to work in a fast paced environment.
Able to multi-task and adjust to changing priorities to meet deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail.
Able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with volunteers and staff.

You Need:

Interest and experience working with youth programming.
Understanding of and commitment to organizational diversity.
Knowledge of the culture and customs of the Alaska Native Communities is a plus.
Outstanding customer service and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong computer and technology skills with the ability to learn new programs quickly.
Valid Alaska driver’s license and clean driving record.
Willingness to learn how to drive a 15 passenger van and a mini-bus.
Current First Aid and CPR certifications and willing to get Wilderness First Aid Certification.

You Will:

Work a varied schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Work independently without continual direct supervision.
Use a variety of computer software to include Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Power Point, Word, and Excel), Salesforce and Looker platforms.
Manually operate office equipment.
Lift and carry at least 50 lbs.
Pass annual national criminal background check including a check of the National Sex Offender Registry.
Occasional domestic travel may be required.
