Job Description : We are looking for skilled Painters and Sub Contractors to paint/ repair the interior and exterior of multifamily buildings, hotel’s, small commercial and residential surfaces. We are looking for painters that have experience in Solid repaints, new construction with various tools and in various heights and spaces while observing all safety measures. You are responsible for many things such as arriving on time, customer communication, trade and product knowledge to name a few. This position is right for you if you are self-motivated, thrive in fast moving environments, and are able to manage time to effectively meet deadlines. You have proven communication skills with supervisors, employees, and customers and are able to effectively manage a variety of situations on a day-to-day basis.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Follow directions. Lay down drop cloths or masking tape and paper. Remove fixtures if needed. Smooth surfaces using sandpaper, scrapers, brushes, steel wool and sanding machines. Fill up air sprayer. Use brushes and rollers to paint surfaces or air gun to spray surfaces. Roll or spray surfaces in an up & down motion. This movement is repetitive. The use of ladders, scaffolding and lifts may be used but only accessible if trained or certified to operate.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: Surface preparationFill cracks, holes, or joints with caulk, putty, plaster, or other fillersCover surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape and paper to protect surfaces during paintingSmooth surfaces, using sandpaper, scrapers, brushes, steel wool, sanding machines, etc.Removing wall coverings.Apply primers, sealers, under-coats, and finish paint coatsBrush and roll applicationsSpray applicationsMaintenanceTouch-upsRepair workApply wall coveringsPrepare adhesivesInstall coveringsOperate, clean, and maintain equipmentBrushes and rollersSprayersPumpsMixersDrywall taping toolsladdersSupervisory Requirements: None.Education Requirements: Reading, writing and basic math skills.Experience Requirements: 5 years+ of painting experience.ResponsibilitiesMake on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc.Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster)Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texturePaint surfaces according to instructions with various toolsApply varnish and other finishesTake and adhere to all health and safety precautionsRequirements Job Requirements: Current driver’s license, auto insurance, and/or tax IDHave tools, work vehicle, good referencesMust have a smart phone and access to the internet.Contractors need W9 Form, liability insurance, and Worker’s Comp.Must have experience in the painting, remodeling or finish trades.Drug Free EnvironmentJob Types: Full-time, Part-time, ContractPay: $20.00 – $50.00 per hourBenefits:Employee assistance programFlexible scheduleSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayWeekend availabilitySupplemental Pay:Bonus payCommission payExperience:Painting: 1 year (Preferred)License/Certification:Driver’s License (Preferred)Shift availability:Day Shift (Preferred)Night Shift (Preferred)Overnight Shift (Preferred)Work Location: Multiple Locations
