Job Description : Advanced Manufacturing Technology is a growing Loveland, Colorado manufacturer who specializes in manufacturing and installation of custom electrical/mechanical system machinery in the packaging industry. We are seeking a Purchasing Specialist to join our team who is detailed and organized.The essential functions for this position include:Coordinate with vendors regarding procurement of materialsSelect and recommend suppliers while maintaining quality standardsNegotiate price strategies and cost reductionsExpedite delivery based on shop needsResolve discrepancies with vendors regarding material defects, delivery issues, etc.Ensure proper documentation is submitted to accounting for timely paymentsManage physical inventory processEnter a variety of purchasing information into manufacturing/accounting system as neededWork with existing vendors and act as a liaison between all departments to ensure timelines are being metBe proactive in designing, implementing, and managing process improvements including reporting systems to meet company requirementsThe successful candidate will be a very detailed, organized person with clear and concise communication skills. Experience with Great Plains/Project software is preferred. Must be familiar with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or comparable drafting software. Having a mechanical aptitude with manufacturing experience is preferred. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a must.This will be a full-time position with a full benefit package.
