The Analytical Lab Manager is responsible for leading a team of chemists and technicians in support of the R&D Team and manufacturing team in qualifying new materials, testing compounds to ensure they meet specifications and supporting product regulatory requirements.Responsibilities: Develop and Manage the Analytical Lab operational procedures in support of EHSQ and support product application and development projects.Lead, mentor and develop the lab staff.Ensure lab follows ISO standards 9001 and 17025 requirements.Oversee laboratory technical operations and practices involving testing instruments and testing procedures including Round Robin Testing and control programs.Keep up to date with the latest analytical testing techniques and equipment. Recommend new equipment and accessories as needed.Work closely with corporate partners in Europe to align best practices and transfer knowledge.Qualifications: B.S. in Chemistry, Polymer Engineering, chemical engineering or similar. Master’s degree preferred.5 years of experience in polymer development and analytical testing including characterization, chromatography and spectroscopy.Experience managing employees.Statistical knowledge or DOE experience.Knowledge and experience in project management.Effective communication skills.Software skills including M.S. Suite, LIMS, ELN, statistical software (Minitab).
