Job Description : Innovated Machine & Tool is hiring! Immediate openings! Assembly / General Labor – Newport News, VA1 Year Minimum Experience is required in: assembly, paint or powder coating line, production work, manufacturing machine operation, or sheet metal work.Duties: Load and Unload Powder Coating Conveyor Line of sheet metal fabricated parts.Assemble parts using hand tools.Hang parts on conveyor line & remove parts.Install nuts and bolts using hand or hand tools.Apply masking tape, rubber plugs & caps to sheet metal parts, hardware and holes prior to parts being powder coated. Removing caps, plugs & tape after coating has been done.Label parts using labeling gun, or printed labels.Count parts for finishing and packaging.Package finished parts.Move pallets with pallet jack.Requirements: To be considered, Applicants for this position must:be able to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers as needed;have good basic math skills (addition & subtraction);be on time to work every day;work efficiently with speed and urgency, and attention to detail;have strong mechanical skills;be able to take direction well;be able to lift 50-75 lbs, stand, walk, sit, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, reach and perform repetitive hand and finger movements;be able to work in cold or hot temperatures in plant.Opportunities exist for cross training and advancement. Need to be flexible & available for overtime. It’s hot in the plant – work is near industrial ovens. Smoking IS allowed in plant.
