Responsible for marketing the company’s products and/or services via telephone with well-qualified prospects. Takes orders and answers questions typically generated by local and/or national advertising and prepares appropriate documentation. Generates prospective customers through cold calling and qualifies leads. Qualified leads are typically directed to field and/or inside sales team for close. Mails marketing/sales literature to prospective clients, keeps up-to-date knowledge of the industry as well as competitive posture of the company, and enhances awareness in the targeted business community of the company and its products/services. Prepares activity and forecast reports. Does not close the sale
The Challenge
We are looking to hire for our team! The Business Development Representative is responsible for building sales pipeline through prospecting and qualifying prospect leads and accounts. Specific responsibilities include successfully using sales and prospecting tools to generate demand and hand-off qualified leads to assigned Territory Sales Representatives.
The Role
Generate new revenue opportunities through territory prospecting
Support execution of internal sales campaigns to drive campaign goals
Achieve or exceed meeting and opportunity targets
Run and assist in executing marketing and lead generation campaigns
Perform product demos to potential prospects
Attend industry events in and outside of assigned territory
Sales Knowledge
Pre-Call Prep – Consistently conducts stage appropriate “outward in” approach, applying prospect’s context to information and resources, including where prospect is at in the buying cycle.
Needs Identification – Consistently and clearly identifies and verifies prospects project, objectives, goals, specific needs, concerns and key considerations.
Product Knowledge – Consistently communicates stage appropriate product knowledge to prospect, demonstrating proficiency in products ability to tackle prospects needs.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Relevant eCommerce/Internet Industry experience
Experience using Salesforce CRM software
Experience with the sales process and objection handling
Knowledge of eCommerce industry landscape
Ability to work in a collaborative in-office team environment
Comfortable with cold calling and speaking with C-level executives
Ability to simplify complex solutions and product offerings to prospects understanding
Knowledge of basic business principles and basic business needs
Outstanding writing, editing, and formatting skills
Proven organizational skills
High level of energy and enthusiasm
Eagerness to establish yourself in the ecommerce industry
Pursuant to the Colorado Fair Pay Act, below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company if based in Colorado.
Colorado Starting Salary: $80,700 – $104,800
At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).
In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
