Job Description : WHO YOU ARE
To support the Communication & Interior Design team in securing high quality carpentry and paintwork throughout the store in a simple, safe and cost- and time-effective way. This will contribute to visitor’s perception of the IKEA Brand and the IKEA retailer as a high-quality and affordable home furnishing Specialist.
The carpenter ensures a safe, commercial, sustainable, clean and functional environment for other co-workers, visitors and customers. Maintains the store in order to promote the image and brand of IKEA and maintain a safe environment.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Your Assignment/tasks will include:
Use knowledge of people’s life at home and range presentation to support the Communication & Interior Design team in presenting and communicating the IKEA product range.Priorities work to meet the needs and expectations of store visitors and minimize disruption when working on the shop floor.Ensures high quality wall and floor installations, carpentry, paintwork and, wherever applicable, other craft skills.Orders, maintains, stores, constructs, deconstructs and keeps an accurate inventory of all tools, material and merchandising solutions.Completes basic maintenance tasks and routines to keep the store in “shape as new”.Supports store with basic electronic equipment.
Your Profile/Knowledge, skills and experience include:
Any certification or vocational training in carpentry would be preferred.Good English communication skills.Good carpentry skills.Possess a flexible, hands-on approach to responsibilities as well as the ability to meet set deadlines.Confident in approaching and communicating clearly with different people in various situations.Customer-focused mind-set.
