The City of Palm Springs is offering an exciting career opportunity for a decisive leader to oversee and ensure accountability and effective operations of the office of the City Clerk. Serving under the general direction of the Deputy City Manager and at the pleasure of the City Manager, the City Clerk will be expected to lead the Office of the City Clerk through independent judgment and initiative in establishing efficient and effective operations consistent with applicable laws, City policies, and administrative guidelines to represent a transparent and open government. The City Clerk will be the direct point of accountability for effective operations and service delivery of the Office of the City Clerk including election administration; records management and public records requests; optical imaging; support for the City Council, Boards, and Commissions; Municipal and Zoning Code Codification; Conflict of Interest and Campaign Disclosure filings; Domestic Partnership program; contract processing; legal notices and subpoenas; and other support services.
