Job Description : Coffee Roasting Apprentice / Production AssistantA 20+ year-old well-established wholesale coffee company located in Chandler, Arizona, seeks a Coffee Roasting Apprentice.Duties include, but not limited to:· Roasting coffee· Roasting equipment & production room maintenance· Packaging coffee and allied products· Quality control· Shipping & receiving product· Occasional product deliveries in company van· Inventory assistanceRequirements:· Experience in coffee or culinary industry preferred· High school diploma or equivalent, mathematical aptitude· Computer literacy, MS Word & Excel· Excellent organization skills· Ability to lift 50 pounds· Valid driver’s license, clean driving record· Ability to interact with customers in a professional manner· Must have acceptable hygiene· Proven track record of good work attendance and reliability- A passion for coffeeCompensation / Benefits:· $16 – $19 per hour (based on experience)- Sign on bonus available· Health Insurance· 401K with company match· 30 – 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM· Advancement opportunity available to qualified candidates.Please forward resume for consideration.Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $16.00 – $19.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingHealth insurancePaid time offSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus paySigning bonusExperience:Beverage Production Occupations: 1 year (Preferred)Coffee or Culinary: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
