Job Description : Community Relations and Marketing ManagerThe City of Powell, Ohio is seeking a position to plan, develop, implement, and analyze community relations campaigns and marketing efforts and manage key events for the City. The Community Relations and Marketing Manager reports to our City Manager and will create the long-term internal and external communications strategy in conjunction with the administration in order to build the public visibility and reputation for the City of Powell. The position will also manage, plan, coordinate and implement City and community events and serve as chief spokesperson for the City. The applicant will also be responsible for implementing the City’s crisis communications plans when necessary.The successful candidate will understand traditional public relations and digital media to engage the community and central Ohio with information on the City of Powell. This position will also work with vendors, sponsors, local business, and staff to plan and implement major special events such as the annual Powell Festival.
