Position : CONROE: Quality Lab Test Technician
Job Description : Job descriptionSchedule: This position will be required to work on a ROTATING shift.Environment: This position will work in an industrial, non-climate controlled setting.Performs metallographic and mechanical tests, and instrument verifications, in a safe and efficient manner according to applicable procedures, complying with defined quality standards.Responsibilities: Ensures instruments are in good condition checking their expiration date and correct functioning.Prepares testing specimen, maintaining all traceability as required (Tensile, Charpy, etc.).Carries out mechanical tests.Polishes metallographic specimen, using acids and other solutions as required.Performs metallographic tests and observes the results using a microscope.Evaluates weld quality and defective welds for feedback to productionCarries out quality reports of test results such as weld etch analysis, mechanical test results, failure analysis, etc. and notifies the responsible section when a test is out of specifications.Interprets product specifications and requirements.Updates information in the tracking systems.Helps to train personnel working the lab ensures maintains proper organization in the labProfile (Minimum requirements)Completed High School2- 3 years of Industrial Manufacturing experienceLab testing experienceAbility to work autonomously and under pressureERW pipe experience is preferableJob Type: Full-timePay: $20.00 – $27.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programEmployee discountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offParental leaveReferral programVision insuranceSchedule:10 hour shift12 hour shiftDay shiftHolidaysMonday to FridayNight shiftOn callOvertimeWeekend availabilitySupplemental Pay:Bonus payApplication Question(s):Are you able to work a rotational shift?Are you familiar with the ERW Pipe ProcessExperience:Lab Testing: 1 year (Preferred)Industrial: 2 years (Required)Work Location: One location
