Position : Content Packaging Coordinator

Job Description : The Content Packaging Coordinator is an essential role supporting Disney Publishing Worldwide’s (DPW) Content Packaging business, which focuses on global expansion of Disney Book Group’s (DBG) properties by way of driving content to the rest of TWDC through book-to-screen and beyond-the-screen opportunities. An innovative and creative team, you will report to the Director, Content Packaging and Content Packaging Manager.

This Orlando, FL-based associate will focus on content packaging efforts.

Responsibilities :

You will:
Organize and track Book-to-Screen industry news, trends, competitors and talent across publishing and film/TV including in-house options with entertainment partners
Report Beyond-the-Screen industry news across merchandise (toys, games, licensing deals, fashion, etc.), digital and audio (podcasts, NFTs, metaverse, video games), franchise IP, and unique & live experiences (amusement parks, broadway, book clubs, etc.)
Help create IP and franchise decks, presentations, pitches, one-sheets, and bibles, that detail story, character, product extension, publishing information, strategy and more.
Read or be versed on all content published by Disney Publishing Group (Hyperion, Hyperion Avenue, National Geographic, Disney Reimagined, Rick Riordan Presents, ESPN, The Undefeated)
Provide general administrative support including meeting coordination and notes, executive level memos, agendas, mailing support, and IT needs
Work with our teams across Editorial, Sales, Marketing, Publicity, Production, BA, Legal and IP teams within the Disney Publishing Group
Research and help source global and DEI storytelling opportunities and talent

Basic Qualifications :

0-2 years administrative experience preferably at a studio, network, production company, agency, or publishing house
Passionate about the publishing and entertainment industry. Knowledge of book publishing, film, TV, book-to-screen, pop culture, Disney brands and Franchises preferred
Proficiency within: a Windows and MAC environment, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Keynote, SAP, Zoom, PUBS (internal database), NPD Bookscan, and Box (or similar file-sharing service); and ability to learn new technologies and applications
Positive and creative team player
Excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
