Job Description : Shriners Hospitals for Children – Erie is currently seeking a full-time Department Assistant. The position is responsible for performing registration, scheduling, clerical, statistical and coordination duties. Monitors rehabilitation plan of care certifications and authorization information. Coordinates with outside vendors to schedule rehabilitation equipment evaluations and deliveries. The successful candidate will possess positive energy combined with strong communication and collaboration skills to support rehabilitation services for all patients.Qualifications: High school diplomaGraduate of a medical secretary/assistant program or equivalent work experience in the medical field (minimum of three (3) years) with a focus on patient registration, scheduling, insurance eligibility and authorizations preferred.Experience in a healthcare settingAbility to work as a member of a team and independentlyJob Type: Full-timePay: $16.00 – $18.00 per hourBenefits:Dental insuranceEmployee assistance programHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offRetirement planVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridayWork Location: One location
