Job Description : Job Summary: The Human Resource Director will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource (HR} department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy. The Human Resources Department is responsible for administration and implementation of human resources policies and procedures including recruitment, selection, salary administration, employee benefit programs, personnel policies, employee /labor relations, and employee records.Supervisory Responsibilities: Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department;Oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of Human Resources Assistant;Assist with constructive and timely performance evaluations;Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for the management of all Human Resources Activities including but not limited to:Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization’s goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention;Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs;Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs as they pertain to both bargained and non-bargained employees, including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits (i.e. all statutorily required and supplemental}, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development;Thorough understanding and application of relevant labor and employment laws; collective bargaining agreements, union grievances and arbitrations;Manage work related injury documentation, Worker’s Compensation claims, track injuries, and Osha logs and postings;Manages the new employee onboarding process, review and update procedure to maintain compliance with all Federal, State, and Local employment laws and regulations.Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.Manage the performance of routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.Conduct annual salary surveys, recommend updates to and implementation of KMC’s employee compensation program;Review, update, and implement an organization-wide employee performance review process;Provide education to managers and supervisors regarding identifying and clarifying employee issues, implementing solutions, coaching and counseling staff, issuing corrective action/discipline, and understanding employee related policies and collective bargaining agreements.Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations as appropriate.Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices;
