Job Description : Summary:Acronis SCSVets’ driving mission is to reduce veteran and military spouse under- and unemployment and help eliminate America’s cyber workforce shortage by arming its participants with the internationally-recognized credentials, skills, and resources they need to pursue self-sustaining cyber careers – at zero cost to them.Position Overview:This position will be responsible for managing and growing Acronis SCS’s veteran relations and Acronis SCSVets nonprofit scholarship program. Under the guidance of the VP of Marketing & Government Affairs, this position will lead the strategy, execution, and funding of veteran and community-based development initiatives – including an annual golf tournament & fundraiser. This position will also build and sustain relationships between Acronis SCS and veteran policy leaders, groups, and stakeholders to increase our presence as a community partner, resource, and policy leader. This is a highly visible role both internally and externally providing an excellent opportunity to connect our people and our communities.Job Responsibilities:Develop a strategic plan for Acronis SCSVets scholarship program & veteran outreach more broadly in partnership with VP of Marketing & Government affairs and existing government relations strategyDraft and execute comprehensive fundraising plan with objectives, activities, and expected outcomes – this includes building / sustaining relationships in the donor communityEngage and build strong relationships with community groups, regional associations, and local community leaders – specifically target defense industryCreate and implement methods to educate the community at large, team members, community leaders, and other designated groups about veteran issuesStrategize and execute veteran policy initiatives at federal and state levelsSupport and/or lead virtual and in-person meetings and collaborative participation processes, such as focus groups and community advisory panels/groupsOwn and manage social media and other marketing channels to support the promotion of nonprofit and fundraising effortsProactively lead the development and implementation of communications about major project milestones and respond to community and stakeholder inquiriesWrite and edit project plans and informational materials e.g., fact sheets, website copy, newsletters, brochures, display copy, lettersRequired Qualifications:5+ years of political campaign/fundraising/community relations/government affairs experienceCyber and/or defense sector experience preferredExperience with planning and implementing public outreach programs, writing, and producing informational materialsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software programsProfessional demeanor, strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, work independently and prioritize deadline-driven tasksKeen attention to detail with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlinesFull-time position, with a mix of at-home, office, and field-based work.
