Northrop Grumman’s Launch Vehicles business unit designs, builds and delivers space, defense and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products, subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and advanced aerospace structures.
The Launch Vehicles GBSD LV Promontory Electronics Technician 4 will execute all phases of electronic I&T engineering objectives from inception through completion.
Job Summary:
Works independently to perform a variety of duties in the mechanical assembly, test and integration of solid rocket motor assemblies and target launch vehicles in support of the GBSD program for Launch Vehicles in Promontory, UT. Assembles and tests complex systems related to space flight hardware. Reads and interprets detailed mechanical engineering design drawings to help aid in the process of completing complex assemblies and installations. Follows detailed work instructions to guide in completion of assigned tasks, and completes necessary paperwork to document completed work. Assists engineers with the development of work instructions and assembly procedures. Identifies, recommends and advocates for continuous improvement initiatives. Must have strong mechanical aptitude, desire to learn and work in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities include:
Support hands-on electrical stand-up of activities and transition into operations and sustainment
Implement electrical engineering Statement of Work and schedule, and quality processes and procedures
Participates in daily escalation and tiered meeting structures
Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience.
U.S. Citizenship is required
Must be able to obtain or retain a DoD secret clearance on start date. Personnel without a DoD secret clearance are required to initiate a security clearance investigation within 14 days of acceptance of job offer.
Preferred Qualifications:
12 years work experience as an apprentice electrician or an electronics technician.

Salary Range: $61,000 USD – $101,600 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
