Job Description : AECOM is seeking an Entry Level Environmental Scientist to be based in Seattle, WA.

_This position is expected to begin in the First Quarter of 2022._

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
+ Utilizing basic scientific principles, theories, practices and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical problems with limited scope.

+ Collecting and entering data, and applying technical principles and theories.

+ Interpreting and recording data, conducting analyses, comparing findings to relevant studies and local, state and federal regulations to ensure compliance.

+ Environmental data collection/analysis, including soil, sediment, vapor, surface water and groundwater sampling, and monitoring well gauging.Documenting work with detailed field notes.Operating field instrumentation.

Minimum Requirements

+ Bachelor’s degree in relevant scientific disciplines (e.g., environmental science/studies, soil science, agriculture, geology, hydrogeology, or any scientific related field).

+ Valid US driver’s license

+ Due to the nature of the work, US citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Ability to employ basic scientific principles, theories, practices, and technologies to efficiently complete well-defined project tasks.

+ Focus on environmental contaminated site investigation, evaluation, and remediation.

+ Ability to clearly communicate with project team members in both verbal and written form.

+ Ability to collect environmental data and evaluate it using technical principals and theories under the guidance of project teams and managers.

+ Ability to work in the field under supervision of field team leaders.

+ Basic knowledge of computer software operations (e.g., Microsoft Office).

+ Basic math skills to perform scientific calculations.

+ Basic verbal/written communication skills for project communication and reporting.
