Job Description : Job DescriptionScope of PositionMaintain a classroom environment conducive to learning using positive, professional behavior and adult learning methodsDeliver workshops to the PA CareerLink Philadelphia system in-person and virtuallyOffer workshops that serve customers from all audiences and workforce programsSupport the use of virtual learning tools, platforms, and the PHL Career PortalSupport special projects team with instructional specific requestsAssist job seekers with resume writing skills, resume creation, and resume critiqueEssential FunctionsCreate and maintain an environment that promotes opportunities for quality interaction and learning through:Establishing clear expectations and encouraging client accountabilityImplementing a workshop structure in line with PA CareerLink program needsMaintaining an awareness of differences in individual learning styles and strengthsImplement quality instructional practicesVary methods of instruction to encourage attention and interest, including virtual, in-person, and supporting recorded learning modulesUtilize materials and activities to respond to differences in learning stylesFacilitate active learningDemonstrate an awareness and commitment to the balance of individual and group needsResponsible for delivering 4-5 workshops in any given business dayModel positive and professional behaviorDemonstrate positive, pro-social interactions with clients, staff and community representativesUse written and spoken language adequatelyUse language reflective of a commitment to diversity; demonstrate cultural competenceModel respect and professionalism in all situationsResponsible for data tracking of every service provided and utilization of the state system of record, CWDS, as well as the team-wide reporting platform. Data capture is a daily responsibility.Assume functional supervision for facilitators at designated center, when appropriateParticipate in required program and community meetingsCollaborate effectively, and communicate proactively with staff and clientsImplement project management skills, tools, and methodsDemonstrate fluid approach to work and actively be part of continuous improvementDemonstrate allegiance to the policies, procedures and expectations of EDSI and System Wide ServicesExperience and SkillsEducation and Experience RequirementsExperience in training, education or career developmentAble to interact with a wide variety of individuals and demonstrate a positive professional attitudeExperience in a team-oriented environmentBachelor’s Degree in business, education, training, human resources, liberal arts or related area is preferredExperience in teaching computer and technology skills is preferredMust be comfortable teaching in physical and virtual classroom environments.Must have strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of ProductsJob Type: Full-timePay: $45,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayWork Location: One location
