Position : Facilities Manager – Bus Preparations
Job Description : Management position, responsible for developing and executing facility solutions. Leads the operations of facility accounts by ensuring areas of responsibility meet objectives and client expectations.Bus Washing/Box Lunch is a support function of the transportation department. Potential for response to immediate needs is significant on a daily basis. The Manager takes responsibility for directing the Bus Wash/Box Lunch operation to achieve the goals and objectives of this department.Essential Functions:*Willingness and ability to sustain steady physical work within scheduled breaks.Willingness to work outside exposed to elements of the weather.Willingness and ability to work with a variety of hand tools and electric equipment (e.g. power/pressure washers, vacuum cleaners, etc.) associated with washing vehicles and general facilities maintenance.Willingness to work variable work schedules, ranging from very early morning to late evening.Willingness to cover shifts in schedule when necessary.Ability to lift 25 to 75 pounds.In work teams, wash both interior and exterior of all assigned bus equipment within established, scheduled time frames.In work teams, loading up to 1500 box lunches and books per day.Ensures quality control and that clean standards are met and documented as identified by NPS contract and company standards.Responsible for accurate ordering and receiving of Box Lunch Supplies.Responsible for following established policy and procedures regarding Food Cost and Labor reporting and planning to budget.Assists in ensuring NPS Periodic and Annual Evaluations maintain a Satisfactory Rating.Ensures all Bus Deep Cleaning established policy, procedure and timelines are met on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis.Ensures safety practices for cleaning and operating equipment are met by all personnel. Monitors staff (clock-ins, clock-outs, breaks, performance).Schedule staff in order to maintain labor budget guidelines.Monitors payroll for accuracy and that it is within budget guidelines.Advise payroll department of corrections/changes to employees punch times.Responds to employee payroll questions and issues.Facilitate training of a sufficient number of bus washers to drive and park buses in order to maintain efficiency of operations.Schedule detailing of the fleet.Participates in Manager on Duty ProgramMaintain bus wash bays and fueling station as directed by the JV General Manager, Fleet Supervisor and Facilities Manager.Perform general labor tasks associated with general, preventative maintenance of transportation indoor and outdoor facilities.Ensure that the silt is removed from the drains and placed in the dumpster.Orders supplies in time for need date.Ensures that all new Bus Washers are trained, training is documented and employees are set up for their 6-packsOversees fueling of buses at a designated fueling station within guidelines established for safety.Coordinates with Maintenance department for bus wash equipment in need of repair or preventative maintenance.Identifies and supervises bus wash supervisors.Complete performance appraisals for bus wash employees.Administer disciplinary action as needed.Overseas on-duty staff to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.Perform fluid checks and add fluids as needed and within established guidelines for all scheduled bus equipment.Employee is responsible for general knowledge of corporate environmental policies and procedures and how they relate to their job functions.Corporate policies and procedures are posted on bulletin boards or can be accessed at dpr.web.Employee is responsible for knowing the environmental aspects and associated impacts of their job position. Job specific Environmental Aspects and Impacts will be communicated by Dept. Managers during EMS training. Environmental objectives and targets will be communicated by dept. managers for each dept. during EMS training. Employee will have no less than 1 performance review per season to include an evaluation of performance standards as they relate to work instructions addressing their departments environmental aspects. Employee will be aware of environmental objectives and targets within their department and how the objectives and targets affect their job performance.Additional job related tasks as assigned.Qualifications:Requires at least 3 years’ experience and up to 2 years in a management roleBachelor’s degree or equivalent experienceJob Types: Full-time, TemporaryPay: $45,000.00 – $48,000.00 per yearSchedule:8 hour shiftHolidaysWeekend availabilityAbility to commute/relocate:Denali, AK: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Experience:Maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)License/Certification:Driver’s License (Preferred)Work Location: One location
