Job Description : DEPARTMENT: Food & BeverageREPORTS TO: General ManagerSTATEMENT OF PURPOSE The Food & Beverage Director (DOFB) is a senior-level position who works closely with, and reports to, the General Manager. The DOFB leads all club food & beverage operations, team development, member satisfaction, and financial results. The DOFB personalizes the member experience by engaging in a warm, accommodating, and professional manner. The DOFB will build a culture of teamwork, enthusiasm, and superior service parallel to a luxury experience. The DOFB will maintain a fiscally balanced Profit & LossStatement ensuring thoughtful purchasing, controls, and accountability. A critical element of the position is developing a collaborative relationship with the Executive Chef to deliver creative menu and restaurant concepts, ensuring harmony between front and back of the house operations, managing food cost, and establishing appropriate club menu pricing. Behaviors are aligned with KBYC standards and culture.RESPONSIBILITIES Lead all Food & Beverage Operations including team development, member satisfaction, and financial results.Team Development includes hiring, training, developing, coaching, celebrating successes, and counseling, while adhering to Club policies and EEOC guidelines.Ensure all F&B Team Members, including culinary, follow established policies and procedures.Accountable for the financial results including the F&B profit & loss and departmental goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.Manage and prepare annual F&B Budget, forecasting, and track departmental expenses.Actively involved in the operation to ensure exceptional service as established by KBYC standards.Attend line-up meetings and inform team of expectations and upcoming events.Establish training procedures to enhance performance relative to quality service levels.Resolve situations through the KBYC fair treatment policy, coaching, and disciplinary action.Ensure bi-weekly payroll is reviewed and processed on time.Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop menus and establish menu pricing through food costing.Develop and cultivate positive member, peer, and vendor relationships.Proficiency with the POS system and generating reports to effectively analyze the operation.Support a culture of enthusiasm, teamwork, and superior service amongst departments.Follow and ensure compliance with KBYC policies and standards as outlined in the EmployeeHandbook, Service Manual, and other Club-generated documents.Ensure all safety, sanitation, energy management, preventative maintenance, and other standards are consistently achieved.Ensure safety, security & club procedures are followed and enforced.Take ownership of the physical space, specifically that which is related to food & beverage; clubhouse, Gazebo, and exterior grounds. Communicate maintenance concerns to the respective department.Conduct regular team leadership meetings, including front of house and culinary, to ensure transparent, effective communication. Ensure the leadership team is communicating with the service and culinary teams to deliver the club’s expectations.Ensure the food & beverage service team is compliant with all Health, Safety, and Sanitation regulations in collaboration with the Human Resources Partner.Develop creative programing designed to engage maximum participation across all segments of the membership.Oversee event planning and social activities to achieve desired results.Engage in the committee structure including active participation in planning sessions and assist the committee to achieve their goals.These responsibilities are subject to change based upon club feedback or needs.SKILLS Operational Ability to positively lead a team of leaders and service professionals to deliver a quality service experience for our members.Ability to understand the flow of service and handle multiple tasks effectively.Ability to work long periods of time, while standing or walking.Ability to train and develop leaders and service professionals to deliver an exceptional experience to include product knowledge, service standards, and the art of hospitality.Ability to follow KBYC service standards.Communication Ability to understand effective approaches of communication with a diverse team.Listens intently, thoughtfully responds, accepts feedback well, and communicates opinions in a respectful manner.Carries out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Language Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.Verbal communication skills in other languages is desired.Organization and Detail Orientation Uses resources and time effectively.Ethics and Values Maintains values and integrity; humble, respectful & honest, aligning with KBYC Code of Ethics.Team Player Actively and positively supports others to success, while maintaining a positive disposition.EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Hospitality or Business.Relevant Food & Beverage certifications and training.Food Handling Certificate, desired.QUALIFICATIONS A minimum of 5 years of senior leadership experience in a high volume, upscale Food & Beverage operation, demonstrating successive responsibilities.Experience as a manager in a high-volume restaurant, hotel, or club with highest levels of service.Strong work ethic and experience leading diverse teams.Demonstrated organizational skills, detail, and ability to adapt to a changing environment.Proficiency with Food & Beverage financials, to include budgeting, forecasting, controls, inventory management, and pricing.Demonstrated skill to curate a creative, luxury food & beverage experience.Demonstrated ability to positively train and develop leadership and hourly teams, inclusive of service and culinary.OTHER Ability to work in an outdoor environment in a hot climate.May be required to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally and reach overhead frequently.Ability to work long periods of time while standing and walking.Able to work late nights, weekends, holidays, and long periods of time, as needed.Job Type: Full-timePay: From $120,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceDisability insuranceEmployee assistance programHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:10 hour shiftDay shiftHolidaysNight shiftWeekend availabilityEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Management: 5 years (Preferred)Food and Beverage: 5 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
