Purpose of this Role
The Front End Developer delivers industry-leading solar design and analysis software to our customers. Our purpose is to make every solar project as efficient and valuable as possible, driving the industry to greater heights. During the early stages of a project’s lifecycle, our software guides users by evaluating hundreds of potential project options. For each option, our software generates a design according to geospatial and topographic constraints, models the energy production for the lifetime of the project, and runs deep financial models to determine the economic strength of each option. Your work will empower solar professionals around the world to deliver effective solar projects.
Major Objectives and Supporting Actions for first 12 Months
Develop a suite of modern react components for maximum reusability and optimization across our software product portfolio, ideally built using Storybook.
Build a consolidated Leaflet map component by merging several existing parallel iterations along with planned improvements.
Create an advanced debugging tool for internal users to dynamically debug issues with projects and backend jobs within a single interface.
Modern React, Redux, Leaflet, and Component Driven Development, required.
Styled Components, Webpack, and Storybook is a plus.
Challenges to Overcome
Terrasmart’s primary external product is experiencing rapid growth and faces challenges related to scaling and customer requirements. In this position, the team you will be part of develops a handful of software products and tools to support solar projects. Our primary internal tool faces challenges around deeper integration into the company’s CRM (customer relationship management) system.
More broadly, solar is a rapidly growing and evolving industry. Our team embraces the exciting challenge of keeping up with the market and emerging solar technologies.
