Job Description : Position requires hefty amounts of compassion, patience, high level of energy and laser sharp attention to detail. Clinic is very fast paced with zero margin for compliance errors. Must possess the ability to strictly follow compliance rules and federal laws. Respect and understanding of policy is of paramount importance, in addition to begin able to convey rules, policies of compliance.Seeking candidate with no less than 5 years medical office (humans) experience and is proficient in HIPAA rules/compliance. Verifiable work references are required.Physical requirements:- Must be able to life 25 pounds intermittently.- Must be able to push/pull patients in wheelchair.- Must be able to walk up/down flight of stairs intermittently.- High particulate matter environment, must be able to coexist with dust.- Must be able to quickly transition from extended stretches of sitting to extended stints of walking/standing as needed for patient care.- Duties are in office only. There is no option for remote work.- This is a smoke/vape/drug free company.Abridged list of job duties (Not all inclusive)- In-coming telephone calls.- Appointment coordination.- Collection of medical records.- Greetings patients, guiding through patient information intake, and collecting of vital information.- Follow up telephone calls.- Monitoring of stock/inventory.- Must be dog friendly.- Work with billing department collecting missing data.- Follow rules and regulations surrounding credentialing in addition to rules and regulations set forth by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.- Assist Chief Administrator.The position requires the use of industry specific EHR software and a good knowledge of various computer applications. Above average communication/listening skills are a must. Preferred candidate needs to be able to ‘catch on’ quickly, retain information, and commit to learning unique industry quirks and lingo. Must possess outstanding time management and prioritization skills. Must have a mature ‘no-drama’ temperament (ie, if you fall apart emotionally frequently and have little to no ability to deescalate an over emotional person this is not a good fit for you). Must project warmth and caring to patients via telephone and in face to face encounters. Conversely, must be firm, professional and articulate when interacting with referring sources, medical community and outside interests.
