Job Description : GIS technicians make maps and customized geographic information systems (GIS) applications and manipulate data to serve a variety of purposes. They read and interpret maps, manipulate, and understand digital land data, and manage data entered into GIS database.Taking in a lot of field information and turning into GIS, converts as built data into GIS ensuring the quality and turnaround time metrics are met. Create maps, drawing and reports for internal and external customer.Years of Experience 0-2 yearsGIS degree (bachelors in geography, GIS, computer science/info systems, engineering)Strong excel, Microsoft office suiteAutoCAD Experience/knowledge (not heavily focused)Job Types: Full-time, ContractPay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hourSchedule:8 hour shiftEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Work Location: One location
