Job Description : Job Summary: The Human Resource Coordinator aids with and facilitates the human resource processes at all business locations. This role administers employee health and welfare plans and acts as liaison between employees and insurance providers. This position resolves benefits-related problems and ensures effective use of plans and positive employee relations. The Human Resource Coordinator makes that certain plans are administered in accordance with federal and state regulations and that plan provisions are followed. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.Supervisory Responsibilities: None.Duties/Responsibilities: Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations. Processes required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deduction, including reconciling benefits statements.Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action.Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by management.Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.Supports the administration of benefits and processing of bi-weekly payroll for 200+ employees with HRIS and various external benefit provider systemsFiles documents into appropriate employee files.Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.Assist in preparing new-employee files.Processes mail.Performs other related duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience.At least two years related experience required.SHRM-CP credential preferred.Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.Job Type: Full-timePay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offReferral programVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Human Resources Occupations: 2 years (Preferred)Leadership: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: Multiple Locations
