Edge strives to develop a culture that is performance based and is passionate about our employee’s and customer success.Job Summary:Under the direction of the Human Resource Manager, the Human Resource Generalist will assist in the performance of all daily functions within the HR Department.Supervisory Responsibilities: No direct reports.May act as HR department lead in the absence of the HR Manager.May oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of subordinate staff in the department.Duties/Responsibilities:Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.Assists with new hire orientation, onboarding programs, and employee recognition programs.Assists with routine employment verifications, unemployment claims, worker’s compensation claims, and other routine requests for information from external entities, in compliance with all confidentiality rules and regulations that pertain.Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the HR Manager.Attends and participates in employee team meetings, disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations as needed.Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and ensures strict confidentiality in all matters related to the HR Department functions.Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.Assists with covering front desk / receptionist duties and phones as needed.Performs other duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.At least one year of human resource management experience preferred.SHRM-CP a plus.Physical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.Must be able to access and navigate the organization’s facilities including stairs.Job Type: Full-timePay: From $60,000 to 70,000 per year plus bonusWork RemotelyNoJob Type: Full-timePay: $60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftSupplemental Pay:Bonus payEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Human Resources: 3 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
