Job Description : CroppMetcalfe is looking for a Human Resources Manager to join our team! The HR Manager plans, directs, coordinates, formulates, and administers CroppMetcalfe’s Human Resources corporate policies, guidelines, and programs as well as activities and staff of our organization.Key function will be to provide counsel and support to management in co-worker relations. Other duties may be assigned.Planning & CoordinationServe as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related issues.Work with Payroll and Benefits Administrators to maintain the filing system for all co-worker records (i.e., promotions, transfers, performance reviews, benefit plans, hires and terminations) and maintain the confidential nature of their contents.Develop and implement policies and procedures regarding co-worker relations. Conduct all investigations involving co-worker misconduct, report findings to senior management, and recommend appropriate solutions.Develop and maintain a performance improvement plan structure. Provide support and training to managers as needed for individual improvement plans.Develop and maintain an effective organization through the selection, training, compensation and motivation of all department staff.Manage initiatives relating to the Human Resources function as directed by management.Co-Worker DevelopmentProvide guidance and direction to Human Resources staff to support in personal and professional development.Develop and maintain a program for co-worker rewards and recognition with Human Resources staff.Plans, conducts and makes improvement recommendations for new employee orientation.AccountabilityWork with Payroll and Benefits administrators to develop and administer co-worker benefit programs and training. Review benefits programs on a regular basis to insure maximum benefits for CroppMetcalfe co-workers. Analyze and modify compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs.Manage bi-weekly payroll processing for CroppMetcalfe. Provide senior management with detailed reporting on payroll.Maintain Employee Handbook.Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources function and ensure policies, procedures and reporting comply with legal requirements. Advise management on all federal, state and local laws, regulations and statutes pertaining to Human Resources.Plan, organize, direct, control and coordinate the personnel, training, or labor relations activities and maintain a system and database for tracking co-workers throughout the company. Provide parodic reporting to analyze trends, making changes as necessary.Communicate with federal and state tax offices as needed. Represent company at local personnel related hearings and investigations such as unemployment hearings.Maintain and prepare reports for management as needed (i.e., Organizational Chart, headcount report by warehouse, overtime report, etc.).ComplianceEnsure compliance to company procedures and policies. Provide technical expertise to management regarding interpretation and implementation of personnel policies, procedures legal guidelines and co-worker benefits.Assist management with resolution of sensitive and unique problems and conflicts while ensuring consistent and equitable implantation of policies and guidelines.Prepare co-worker separation notices and related documentation and conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.Establish and maintain proper reporting and tracking mechanisms to insure compliance with all federal, state, and local statues. Advise managers on organizational policy matters such as equal opportunity and sexual harassment and recommend needed changes.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervisor co-workers in Human Resources department.Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training co-worker’s; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining co-workers; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Engage in co-worker development, engagement and empowerment to ensure growth and progressive advancement of Human Resources staff.QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to preform the essential functions.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE6-10 years of Human Resources experienceExperience with HR information systemsBachelor’s degree (mandatory)P.H.R. or S.P.H.R certification, or pursuing (preferred)Experience with maintaining confidential information, knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulation, filing ad compliance requirements affecting co-worker benefit programs (i.e. ERISA, CORBA, FMLA, ADA, Section 125, Workers Compensation, and DOL)Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft OfficeEmployment Labor/ Human Resources Law experienceLANGUAGE SKILLS & MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other co-workers.Ability to interpret and present metrics.CroppMetcalfe was founded in 1979 with a Vision TO SERVE.
