JOB SUMMARY:
The Learning & Development Coordinator successfully assists the Learning & Development team with a variety of tasks across all aspects of training and development. The position helps coordinate traffic flow of incoming training requests and outgoing communication to employees as needed. The position utilizes strong written communication skills, has a critical eye for detail, and possess successful multitasking abilities. In all dealings with the public, members and employees, ownership is taken and timely follow-up is consistent.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for assigning, tracking, and reporting on all employee training packages and compliance packages.
Monitors incoming training requests and ensures they are routed and/or responded to in a timely manner.
Schedules all new hires and promoted employees for appropriate training and sends out any necessary schedules to the employee and their supervisors.
Schedules and coordinates all trainings including booking out rooms, loading classes to calendars, loads all appropriate content into our Learning Management systems, or as otherwise designated.
Schedules training sessions to minimize disruption to normal working, while ensuring that employees achieve the levels of skill necessary for their jobs.
Audits and updates all training content regularly to ensure proper procedures are being referred to in training, content is accurate, and that the overall message is relevant to the credit unions goals and the mission of the Learning & Development Department.
Responsible for keeping a fresh, consistent, and relevant internal branding message for all training related materials. This includes trainer’s outlines, handouts, power points, materials for staff, or as otherwise stated.
Develops eLearning training options and other training creations as needed. Designs programs using techniques such as classroom learning, demonstrations, one-one-one coaching or online learning.
Assists with training event coordination as needed including coordinating with vendors, and distribution of credit union training materials as needed.
Assists as needed with various clerical tasks to include ordering supplies and covering the 3rd floor front desk when needed.
Maintains the department’s training library.
Provides L&D Supervisor with monthly reports of the past months training hours completed and any other related information.
Assists with training classes as needed.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
High school graduate or equivalent and a minimum 1 year of related work experience.
This position requires working knowledge of MS Office products.
Must be comfortable learning other programs and platforms as needed.
Qualified applicants will have the ability to work independently with input, approvals and supervision of Learning & Development Supervisor.
Must have a keen eye for detail, proof reading and editing with proven track record of having executed and completed projects on time.
Must have strong interpersonal skills, be able to thrive in a collaborative environment, and be able to organize and juggle a multitude of tasks, projects and information simultaneously.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Must be creative and curious with a strong desire to learn and a can-do attitude.
Must demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Working knowledge of the operations of a financial institution is helpful but not essential.
This position is responsible for abiding and complying with the policy for compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering laws and regulations (BSA/AML) and the policy for compliance with office of foreign assets control laws and regulations (OFAC).
