Job Description :
GENERAL OVERVIEW:
Facilitates the efficient flow of mail within and among the various departments located within the Hospital, the U.S. Postal Service and the commercial mail handling service. May also count, order, and stock inventory items including mail supplies and patient education information.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collects, sorts and processes all interoffice/external mail with minimal direction from manager. (80%)
Demonstrates knowledge and skill in weighing, postmarking and preparing outgoing mail, including priority and certified mail. (10%)
Performs general maintenance, meter readings, and supply management. (10%)
May inventory and stock patient information areas.
Performs other duties as assigned or required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum
High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite of software.
Preferred
Prior mailroom experience.
