Job Summary
We are searching for a self-motivated and outgoing marketing event coordinator to assist our organization in delivering quality marketing assets as well as events that generate excitement around our organization, grow sales, and amplify brand awareness.
The event specialist will be responsible for preparing and managing event timelines, coordinating technical aspects, generating media interest and coverage, processing invoices, marketing, managing event staff, preparing expenditure reports, and managing risk.
The creativity and resourcefulness in organizing and hosting successful events that meet business objectives will be key in promoting products, engaging with clients and dealers, and inspiring confidence in our brand.
The ideal candidate for this role should have superior organizational skills, great leadership qualities, excellent multi-tasking skills, superb interpersonal skills, and be creative.
The candidate should deliver a remarkable brand experience for our clients, reinforce client-to-business relations, enhance our organization’s image, aid business growth, and deliver events that meet objectives and exceed expectations.
Job Responsibilities (*Essential)
Creating and managing our events calendar on all our channels, including our website, social media and professional portal.
Brainstorming and implementing event plans and concepts with the different teams and counterparts.
Handling budgeting and invoicing while reporting to the Marketing Manager for approvals.
Liaising and negotiating with vendors.
Coordinating logistical elements.
Organizing marketing material.
Negotiating sponsorship deals.
Managing branding and communication at the event level within the Marketing department.
Developing event feedback surveys.
Attend some boat shows and owner’s events as needed.
Perform all other miscellaneous duties as requested.
Minimum Education and Experience:
High School graduate with 2 years of Vocational or College level study in Hospitality, Public Relations, Marketing or Communications or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong Understanding of Microsoft Suite.
Strong organizational skills and creativity.
Project management experience.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Multi-tasker with a strong work ethic.
Superior interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership qualities.
Expert communication skills.
French and/or Spanish languages would be nice to have.
