Job Description : Neurological/sleep medicine medical practice is looking for medical receptionist/medical assistant Requirements:high functioning individual with multi-tasking abilitiesattentiveness to detail and ability to complete tasks on timepersonable with social grace and people-skillsstress resistantbachelor degreeexperience working with Microsoft Officeexperience with electronic medical recordscomfortable with technology – able to use printer/scanner/copy machine and to fix problems if neededtime management skillsexperience working in medical receptionist/medical assistant position for over 1 yearCOVID-vaccinatedDuties: * Assistance in patients careChecking in and checking out patientsTaking vital signs (weight, height, BMI, BP, HR, RR, SpO2, Vision)Organize charts with all necessary documentationScanning and uploading medical documents into the EMRFaxing notes to referring physiciansAnswering phone calls and e-mailsCall patients to remind them about their appointmentsObtaining insurance authorizations for visitsChecking insurance and demographic informationControl of presence of up-to–date insurance information for every patientTransferring data from portable sleep devices, generating reports, training patients on correct usage of home sleep devicesCollecting copaysScheduling appointmentsFaxing requisition forms for sleep studies, MRI etcTime managementControl office supplies, order supplies when needed, keep office cleanOther duties may be assigned as needed.Starting salary 17$/hr.Job Type: Full-timePay: $16.00 – $18.00 per hourBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayCOVID-19 considerations:All customers are required to weak a maskEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:EMR Systems: 1 year (Preferred)Medical Receptionist: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
