Job Description : OverviewOlson Engineering, a full-service, multi-discipline engineering company providing services to the petrochemical market, is seeking experienced, motivated and highly technical Piping Designer level II to join our team. Designer should have at minimum 5 to 10 years of experience. Candidates should have a working knowledge of piping, mechanical equipment and process and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID’s) as related to design in the petrochemical industry. Candidates should also be familiar with AutoCad 3D design software (CADWorx) as well as Microsoft Office and other relevant software.Responsibilities and DutiesDesigners are expected to:Perform in a team environment under supervision.Frequently take field visits to plant or refinery-type facilities.Provide for/Coordinate all Piping project specific design needsAbility to work with engineers and senior designers to develop detailed engineering drawing package.Be able to design and prepare 3D models, producing detailed design drawings such as piping isometrics, general equipment arrangements, plans, sections, and miscellaneous details on all assigned projects.Education/KnowledgeEducationHigh School diploma or equivalentAssociates degree or equivalent technical training in drafting/design preferred.Thorough knowledge of 3D design practices, systems and procedures.Good written and verbal communication skills are a must.Job Type: Full-timePay: $29.00 – $62.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offSchedule:Day shiftMonday to FridayExperience:piping design: 5 years (Required)Work Location: One location
