Position : Production Field Operator
Job Description : Overview:
Process expert compounding
Make in-spec product per production schedule, without harming people or environment and without reliability issues through:
Operating the process facilities following SOP, instructions and good processing practices
Front line process knowledge to monitor, forecast, report, mitigate, solve or escalate issues that could impact the 4 principles.
Responsibilities:
Conduct routine rounds (SQRE) and proactively report, mitigate and solve emerging issues
Monitor production process (e.g. DCS, gauges …)
Investigate and troubleshoot abnormal operations.
Operate field equipment (e.g. valves, pumps) to perform operations tasks per SOP, SOC, special instructions (e.g. filter changes, bagging, manual activities, additions)
Perpetuates a culture of safety quality and reliability with all colleagues, contractor and guests in the unit
Collects process samples for analysis
Addresses alarms, communicates needs for bypasses, issues safe work permits
Perform work in accordance to Conduct of Operations for proper hand-offs with other workgroups
Conduct Behavior Based Observations (BBO) and communicate HazRecs and near Miss Incidents.
Participate in MOC, PHA, RCA etc. sessions
Provide inputs to improve SOPs
Generates ideas and improvement projects
Start up and shutdown of process equipment in a safe manner
Take part in emergency response / Initial response team as needed
Attend training to improve and maintain production processes as required
LOTO equipment and turn over to maintenance for repairs and participate in return to service of equipment
Qualifications:
Understands process technology, equipment and procedures
Troubleshooting skills
Technical skills
Material and product knowledge
Ability to identify patterns and recognize anomalies
Ability to handle abnormal situation/plant upsets
