Job Description : Company OverviewThe McCloud Group (TMG) is a Construction Management (CM) firm founded in 2002, specializing in the construction and renovation of educational, municipal, cultural, residential and transportation construction projects for public sector government agencies. TMG serves as the owner’s representative and advocate through all phases of a project and under a variety of delivery methods. Active primarily in the North East Region, where the company was formed, TMG spent the last 19 years building a diverse project portfolio that includes work in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Pennsylvania.Project DescriptionTMG is managing construction on various NYCSCA school construction projects in New York City five (5) boroughs.The Projects include and are not limited to: new construction, exterior and interior renovations, new boiler systems, exterior masonry restoration, window replacement, roof replacement, green roof infrastructure, flood elimination, electrical upgrades, and HVAC refurbishment.Job SummaryHe or She is responsible for scheduling the work, overseeing the construction, maintaining schedule, site safety, project tracking and reporting, managing communication between all stakeholders, close out of projects, and managing payments to contractors.Responsibilities and DutiesOversee all daily field operations to ensure proper site safety, construction, progress, quality control, housekeeping, and daily log;Provide guidance, leadership and direct supervision of contractors and site staff;Management of schedule, including weekly preparation of 2-week look ahead;Proactively schedule and coordinate all contractors to ensure completion of the project in accordance with the project schedule and to ensure that no additional costs are required for completion of work;Develop comprehensive understanding of project strategy and commitments including financial goals, scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones, and inspections;Ensure assigned jobsite operations are in compliance with design/specifications, completion on schedule, within budget and to quality standards;Demonstrate and maintain effective and open dialogue with the project team regarding changes in work, job conditions, contractor relations and any deviation in the direction of the project;Work in partnership with our client and contractors to maintain an updated and accurate project schedule that reflects the changes in project status and that meets the cost and time requirements of the project;Run weekly meetings, including project and contractor meetings;Manage the RFI process; consisting of the creation of and suggestions on solutions to site issues and tracking them through closeout;Exceed client expectations for each project by understanding client needs, wants, preferences and culture;Continuously promote positive contractor relations by dealing professionally and fairly with all contractors and vendors instilling this philosophy in project team;Maintain and review punch list process to ensure all are addressed and executed in a timely manner;Manage close out processQualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering/architecture, and/or construction related field from an accredited college or university.5 years experience in as a technical specialist in construction and design related field.2 years must have been involved in managing all phases of construction work.Or a comparable combination of education and experience.Shall have the ability to understand and interpret contract documents such as specifications, drawings and shop drawings.Shall have experience in new and renovation type construction.Must have worked on public agency projects during careerMust have a valid drivers license.Job Type: Full-timePay: $85,000.00 – $115,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayNight shiftWeekend availabilitySupplemental Pay:Bonus payCOVID-19 considerations:NYCSCA mandates all employees have the Covid-19 vaccine prior to starting employment.Application Question(s):Have you worked with a public agency?
