Job Description : Udelhoven Oilfield System Services, Inc.QC Inspector Job Description Job Title: QC Inspector Rate: 45-50 per hourDepartment: Quality ControlReports To: QA Manager & Project ManagerHours: TBDSUMMARY: The QC Inspector is responsible for performing field inspections in accordance with the approved project quality control program and procedures being implemented by the Quality Assurance Manager to insure that work performed conforms to the Client Contract Specifications, applicable Codes, Standards, and quality control plan.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (including but not limited to the following)· Maintain an open dialog with the Quality Assurance Supervisor and Quality Control Manager.· Maintains an open dialog with Project management and other inspectors· Interact with QA & Project Managers· Generate reports that reflect objective evidence of QC activities· Ensure quality related documents are distributed to the project directives· Performs inspections according to approved quality control procedures· Documents inspection results on the appropriate quality control forms· Ensures documented inspection results are concise, complete and clear· Ensures all quality control forms are maintained and properly filed· Remains cognizant of the quality control procedures and project specifications· Attends scheduled meetings· Provides technical assistance with the disposition of nonconforming conditionsEDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE: · 2 years specific field experience in the oil/gas industry· High School Diploma or equivalent (required)· Technical/Vocational School training in related field (preferred)· or Approval of Project Manager· Well versed in fabrication/alteration/repair of ASME Sec VIII Div I vessels· Ability to test welders to ASME Sec IX and AWS D1.1 codesLICENSES or CERTIFICATES: · American Welding Society QC1 / Certified Welding Inspector (required)LANGUAGE SKILLS: (English language requirement)Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to interact effectively with all people.COMPUTER SKILLS: Must be proficient in various software applications including word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software. Must have proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint with the ability touse Outlook. MS Project and AutoCAD experience a plus.REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle, reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit; climb, balance and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and sustain lifting up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision depth perception, and ability to focus.
