Position : Receiving Manager
Job Description : We are looking for an experienced receiving supervisor to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner.ResponsibilitiesHandles the daily work and safety of Inbound Warehouse receiving supervisor, other receiving workers.Manages labor hours and consumable supplies within budget and work schedulesincluding extra work days and shifts as needed. * Coordinates with other departments as necessary to ensure upgrades and repairs are completed efficiently and effectively.Develops business relationships to ensure communication and efficient operations with third-party vendors, including but not limited to lumping services.Reviews the management of receiving audits daily ensuring all requireddocumentation is accurately completed (including Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), food safety, and catch-weight documentation) and that material is handled and stored correctly with a minimum potential for loss. * Evaluates metrics and adjusts activities to meet or exceed performance expectations.Suggests efficiency ideas, cost reduction measures and assists with the implementation ofchanges within inbound and outbound warehouse operations. * Identifies problems, proposes solutions to other members of management and promotescooperation with other departments. * Ensures the use and updating of receiving software systems.Preserves associate relations through regular department or pre-shift meetings.Maintains on-going interaction.Keeps open communication channels with associates by answering questions and explaining policies and procedures.Monitors associate morale.Submits and responds to ideas to improve associate engagement and enablement.Interprets trains and consistently enforces Company policies and procedures.Coordinates efforts with the Safety department to aid in training, conducting associate observations, up-dating preferred work methods, conducting accident investigations todetermine root causes and routine safety inspections. * Makes recommendations for disciplinary action and/or behavior modification where required.Performs the duties of associates supervised and other related duties as needed.Complies with local, state and federal regulatory agencies (i.e. OSHA, AIB, FDA,USDA, etc.)Job Type: Full-timeSalary: From $65,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee discountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Day shiftMonday to FridayOvertimeSupplemental Pay:Bonus payExperience:Warehouse experience: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
