The Role:
The Social Media Specialist plays an integral role in the creation, implementation, and execution of company social media strategies. The Social Media Specialist has the unique opportunity to work creatively to develop content for Vivint on all social media platforms that will attract followers and increase audience engagement. Our preferred candidate will have a passion for social media, pop culture, and coming up with creative ideas in order to build a community and optimize Vivint’s online presence. The Social Media Specialist will work closely with other teams and report directly to the Sr. Manager, Social Media.
Job Responsibilities:
Proactively recommend and produce new content for Vivint’s social media channels
Produce engaging videos and capture and use content in apps such as Instagram and TikTok
Collaborate with other departments to identify and execute social media opportunities
Discover and develop new ways to connect with our audience through video content.
Monitor social media trends and create new ones
Analyze data and results regarding social media strategies and campaigns
Amplify the Vivint brand through creative content strategies and compelling video content
Create, assemble and post content on social media platforms, as required
Problem-solve and troubleshoot daily operational issues
Recommend operational solutions and develop efficiencies for everyday processes
Work cross-functionally with other teams to help build a world-class marketing platform
Maintain a high level of understanding and knowledge of the products and services Vivint offers
Create gifs and other lightweight video social content
Perform at a high level in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Required Skills:
Proven track record of social media experience and success
Expertise in content creation and visual storytelling
A strong understanding of social media platforms and digital trends with an emphasis in Instagram and TikTok
Time-management and organizational skills
Willingness to think outside the box and work collaboratively
Effective verbal communicator
Strong writing skills
High level interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize as necessary

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to regularly create and curate social media content that will increase community involvement and interaction and strengthen the Vivint brand.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
