The Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown offers 168 beds for nursing home care. Two levels of care are offered: standard care for veterans in need of any intermediate level of care, and memory care for veterans with Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia. The home staffs a full time Physician and Certified Nurse Practitioner.
The home opened in 2003, and is located in the scenic countryside of Brown County, offering a tranquil setting where veterans can feel at home. What you’ll do:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Operates multi-line telephone equipment, automated call distribution system or comparable equipment to receive & transmit calls & messages
Performs assigned ancillary functions (e.g., notifies appropriate personnel or emergency calls, uses paging system to alert personnel of hazardous conditions
Serves as receptionist & provides clerical services to agency personnel (e.g., greets visitors &/or public & direct to appropriate office; schedules appointments &/or interviews; assists with typing policies & procedures; types forms &/or other routine documents; maintains key control records; files pruchase order requests & other information; organize & maintainfiles required for Life Safety inspections by ODH, VA, & FIre Marshall annual inspection; faxes documents & operates copy machine.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
1 course or 3 mos. exp. in operating switchboard system (e.g., multi-line switchboard console; Fujizu 9600; PBX; NEC 2400 PBX), or multi-line telephone equipment (e.g., AT&T 75; Mitel SX-200 digital PABX; AT&T Definity G3I; Meridian full set; Ameritech’s Tone Commander 120; multi-line Meridian; Meridian M5216; Northern Telecom Meridian; AT&T’s Merlin-Sprint multi-line telephone set), or automated call distribution system, or Meridian-NOT multi-line (i.e., for positions as state operators under Department of Administrative Services only), or any comparable equipment to those previously named.

Knowledge of public relations*; office practices & procedures*.
