Job Description : Position SummaryThe VP of Culture & Talent will drive an EPIC people culture across the organization that inspires employees to become raving fans. As the VP of Culture & Talent, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that bolster our culture and meaningfully enhance the employee experience for our team throughout their entire career at 1-800-GOT-JUNK?. You will lead the design, development and delivery of solutions related to leadership development, learning and development, employee engagement and culture. You’ll serve as the brand and culture ambassador for our team of over 200 through collaborative partnerships with senior leaders, service excellence to our managers, and positive employee experiences to help attract, engage, and retain ideal team members.Position Reports To: President/CEO, Maverick BrandsLocation: Lancaster/Reading PA or Richmond, VAWhat We Offer: Competitive BenefitsMedical / Dental / Vision401k w/Company MatchVacation / PTOBonusEssential Duties / ResponsibilitiesWorkplace Culture ManagementDevelop, direct, and monitor employee experience strategies aimed at maintaining a healthy workplace culture including associate communications and engagement.Proactively and effectively addresses components of workplace culture that impede organizational and individual effectiveness.Implement tools and processes to capture the voice of the employee – leveraging all forms of data collection across the employee lifecycle (including engagement surveys, new hire surveys, stay interviews, listening circles, etc.) to help create employee-focused strategies, programs, and processesChampion and influence cultural shifts and programming that create diverse, equitable and inclusive outcomesHelp design, project, manage, and execute community engagement and social impact initiatives, including leveraging community engagement as a key employee experienceLeadership and Talent ManagementOversees, develops, and executes talent acquisition and retention plans, including recruitment and retention strategies.Designs and implements talent management solutions including executive coaching/mentoring, talent reviews, assessments, succession planning, and leadership development.Designs and develops training and onboarding programs, as well as systems of measurement, to ensure training and learning opportunities are in fact meeting the desired business and service delivery outcomes.Collaborates with the Talent team to develop and drive an employer branding strategy that amplifies our culture and valuesLeads and develops results-driven performance management tools and processes that integrate with the organization’s values and core competencies.Remain keenly aware of external market forces and trends, enabling us to remain a dynamic, progressive employer of choiceHuman Resource Management ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the smooth and effective operation of all human resources functions.Provides leadership to the human resource management staff; provides timely and constructive feedback; monitors the accomplishment of team and individual objectives; fosters an environment of continuous learning.Advises the leadership team on the full range of human resource management issues and effectively implements new or improved programs, policies, and processes to benefit the organization and mitigate risk.Ensures compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and local employment laws including, but not limited to EEO, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, ERISA, OSHA, PPACA, workers’ compensation, etc.Leads efforts to streamline human resource management workflows, data collection and analysis, communications, and reporting.Guides the design and implementation of all human resource related technology (HRIS).QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred.5-8 years of progressive experience in HR with a focus in talent management and developmentPHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferredGeneral knowledge of OSHA regulations and state Workers Compensation regulationsExperience in management of 401k, health and welfare benefit programsMust be willing to travel (approx. 25%)Maverick Brands Summary – Purpose / Core Values / Treatment of EmployeesMaverick Brands LLC operates (6) 1-800-GOT-JUNK? franchises in 4 states.
