Job Description : THE POSITION
The PennDOT Juniata County Maintenance Office is looking for a highly motivated candidate to perform complex clerical and administrative duties in the support of its county operations. If this opportunity sounds like you, apply today!
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Maintain the county’s Cash Advancement Account by logging all incoming bills and having checks done for vendors that will not accept Mastercard payments and utility companies. Ensure that the invoices have all of the proper coding and information before submitting to Harrisburg.

Generate Departmental invoices in the SAP system for payment on invoices, encumbered documents, multiple payments, etc. and ensure the invoice amounts are correct by checking for price adjustments on the DGS website. After generating departmental invoices, ensure all of the appropriate signatures are obtained and paperwork is in correct sequence before submitting to Harrisburg.

Pay customer invoices using a Mastercard credit card after receiving a completed packet of documentation (completed District 2-0 Purchasing Documentation form, receives slips, and invoices.

Run monthly reports in SAP as requested by the Highway Maintenance Manager, and Roadway Programs Coordinator.

Assist the public with information, taking appropriate complaint and/or incident information, and answering incoming telephone and radio calls, forwarding all information to the requested person.

Work Schedule
Monday – Friday
7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Lunch period: 1 hour
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
Two years of experience performing bookkeeping or clerical accounting work; or

An Associate Degree in Accounting or Business Administration including or supplemented by six credits of Accounting.
